Dr. Jeff Reed is the Director Emeritus of the CHBC and Chief Scientist, Renewable Fuels and Energy Storage at the Advanced Power and Energy Program at UC Irvine. Dr. Reed’s areas of focus include clean transportation, distributed generation, storage, renewable natural gas, efficient end-use technologies, and hydrogen-natural gas synergies. Prior to joining APEP, Dr. Reed was Director of Business Strategy and Advanced Technology for the Southern California Gas Company, where he led technology advancement activities. Jeff holds a doctorate in mechanical engineering from University of California, Berkley and a master’s degree in management from Stanford University.
