December 2 CHBC Briefing: The Interplay between Electricity, Hydrogen and Natural Gas
The curtailment of renewable generation has increased significantly over the last few years in California, and is starting to affect the deployment of new renewable generation. Hydrogen can provide a lot of value, as an energy storage medium, transportation fuel, and to firm up the grid and increase resiliency, especially when produced from low-cost electricity.
This briefing will discuss the opportunity and existing challenges for hydrogen to play a stronger role in the expansion of renewables deployment.
