2017 CHBC Board of Directors Elected, Expands Role of environmental organizations
Representatives from Nuvera Fuel Cells, Coalition for Clean Air and Energy Independence Now added to the Board
Los Angeles, CA – February 17, 2017 – The California Hydrogen Business Council (CHBC) announced the election of two new directors to the Board at the December 13, 2016 Annual Membership Meeting in Los Angeles. Gus Block, Director, Marketing and Government Affairs at Nuvera Fuel Cells and Brian Goldstein, Executive Director, Energy Independence Now joined the CHBC as new at-Large Directors.
In addition, four directors were appointed to fill vacant seats, including Shrayas Jatkar, Policy Associate at the Coalition for Clean Air, Steve Ellis, Manager, Fuel Cell Vehicle Marketing, American Honda Motor Co., Inc., Nitin Natesan, Business Development Manager – Hydrogen Fueling of Linde LLC and Mike Levin, Director Government Affairs at FuelCell Energy.
“Mr. Jatkar and Mr. Goldstein bring a wealth of environmental experience to the CHBC, which will greatly enhance our relationships with organizations in that field,” stated Jeff Serfass, CHBC Executive Director. He added “Mr. Levin with his strong government affairs background has already been selected to lead CHBC’s new Advocacy Committee, which will be one of our a major focus areas in 2017.”
Craig Scott, National Manager-Advanced Technologies Group, at Toyota Motor Sales was elected Vice Chair by the membership. In addition, four directors were re-elected, including Dr. Jeffrey Reed, Director of Business Strategy and Advanced Technology at Southern California Gas Company to the position of Chair and Steve Szymanski, Director, Business Development of Proton OnSite as Secretary. Lauren Skiver, CEO/General Manager at Sunline Transit and Bob Desautels Principal Consultant at Golden State EPC will continue as Directors at-Large.
The new Board will advance the organization’s plans for 2017 with a strong focus on H2 heavy-duty trucking, clean ports, hydrogen station financing, public transport, renewable hydrogen and hydrogen energy storage and power-to-gas.
