Summary of CARB Workgroup Meeting for the Long-Term Heavy-Duty Investment Strategy
On September 15, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) held a Webinar/Teleconference work group meeting on the Fiscal Year (FY) 2020-21 Long-Term Heavy-Duty Investment Strategy. The Strategy, built upon previous years’ work, is required under SB 1403, the California Clean Truck, Bus, and Off‑Road Vehicle and Equipment Technology Program (Lara, Chapter 370, Statutes of 2018). This document will be incorporated into the upcoming FY 2020-21 Funding Plan for Clean Transportation Incentives. CARB’s Heavy-Duty Investment Strategy is updated every year and serves as a road map for heavy-duty, off-road and fueling infrastructure. The goal of the funding is to move zero-emission vehicles through the commercialization process and meet increasing demand.
During the webinar, CALSTART presented Draft Technology Status Snapshots, Draft Zero-Emissions Beachhead, Draft Low NOx Beachhead, Draft Efficiencies Beachhead, and Draft Recommendations for Investment Priorities. Some of them are available here >>
