CHBC Submits Comments to CEC, Letter to Chair Weisenmiller
On February 7, the CHBC submitted comments to the California Energy Commission (CEC) on the 2017 Final IEPR Report. The comments made recommendations for the CEC to consider, including:
- Addition of hydrogen and fuel cell outreach and education groups, with regards implementing the Clean Energy and Pollution Reduction Act, Senate Bill 350 (Chapter 2).
- Offered three corrections on the opportunity to use excess energy for hydrogen production from electrolysis of water, to increase the resiliency of the electricity sector (Chapter 3).
- Addition of hydrogen energy storage and power-to-gas to accelerate the use of distributed energy resources on the California grid (Chapter 4)
