Mike Kerans Director at Large

Mike Kerans is the Senior Director of Gas Strategy Execution at Pacific Gas and Electric Company. Mike has been with PG&E since 2007 and has held numerous roles and leadership positions across Gas Distribution Engineering, including Gas Planning, Gas Estimating and Engineering, and Integrity Management. Prior to his current role, he served as Senior Director of Gas Distribution Integrity Management, Corrosion Engineering, and Local Gas Engineering, overseeing PG&E’s Distribution Integrity Management Program, Engineering Programs for Capital Replacement, and Corrosion Programs for Gas Transmission and Distribution. Concurrently he was the Asset Family Owner for Customer Connected Equipment and Distribution Mains and Services, the Chair of Gas Operations and Engineering Corrective Action Review Board, and a Director of the Gas Emergency Center. As Asset Family Owner he served twice as a General Rate Case Witness, developed operational and enterprise risk models, and is a Risk Owner Witness for the Risk Assessment and Mitigation Phase filing.

Mike earned his Mechanical Engineering degree from San Francisco State University. He chaired the AGA Piping Material Committee for 5 years and is a current active member of the AGA Piping Material Committee, PSMS Executive Steering Committee and member of AGA’s Climate and Sustainability Committee.
