Brian Schorr joined the CHBC’s team in 2023 as principal Staff Support for its executive management, including the Board of Directors and senior staff. His role is multi-faceted and includes leading logistical planning and execution of Executive Committee and Board Meetings, managing strategy and content for CHBC’s organizational website, oversight of governance documentation to ensure alignment with best practices and compliance standards, and he serves as principal editor of CHBC’s public communications and outreach materials, where he shapes messaging that advances the Council’s mission and stakeholder engagement. Brian also provides support for CHBC’s three Sector Action Groups and Policy Initiative Meetings.

Brian brings over two decades of leadership experience in the hydrogen and environmental nonprofit sectors. His involvement in hydrogen and fuel cells began in 1999 with the U.S. National Hydrogen Association, where he worked for 11 years. He has also held executive-level positions in other environmental non-profits prior to joining the CHBC.

He holds a B.S. in Physical and Environmental Geography from Penn State University (1999). In his free time, he plays ice hockey in several adult recreation leagues near his home and he enjoys spending time outdoors, especially on nature trails.
