CHBC Executive Director Katrina Fritz Pens Op-Ed in Utility Dive
CHBC Executive Director Katrina Fritz penned an Editorial on Utility Dive’s website entitled “Let’s get hydrogen right from the start: We need a tax credit that is practical and workable“. DOE’s recent hydrogen hub awards represent tens of thousands of clean energy jobs across the U.S., which could be at risk if upcoming tax credit guidance limits the ability to scale hydrogen quickly.
A Message from Katrina:
“As the Executive Director of the largest and longest-standing hydrogen trade association in the United States, I applaud the policy progress made in realizing hydrogen’s essential role in decarbonization, job creation, and energy security. To fulfill these objectives, however, policymakers must advance a pragmatic, forward-looking tax credit framework which allows industry to scale, innovate, and drive cost reduction throughout the United States.
This Utility Dive op-ed brings attention to the necessity for a practical way to implement hydrogen as a pathway to decarbonization. I wholeheartedly thank our members for their support in this endeavor; but more strongly, I call on every hydrogen industry stakeholder to join us in support of tax credit guidelines that engender, rather than inhibit, the growth of the hydrogen industry. We must continue economic and environmental progress through hydrogen adoption.”
