On February 26, the CHBC submitted comments to the CPUC regarding the “OIR to Establish Policies, Processes, and Rules to Ensure Safe and Reliable Gas Systems in California and Perform Long-Term Gas System Planning.” The comments outlined the role of renewable gas to address short lived climate pollutants, the need for a rigorous, peer-reviewed analysis to optimize the use of hydrogen, and consideration of electric/gas grid interconnection.
