CHBC Announces 2014 Spring and Fall Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Summits
Co-location at ACT Expo, May 5 in Long Beach, and October 15-16 in Sacramento Los Angeles, CA – February 6, 2014 — Today, the California Hydrogen Business Council has announced the plans for its signature hydrogen and fuel cell events in 2014. On May 5, the CHBC Spring Summit will be held in Long Beach, CA, co-located at the Alternative Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo. The successful 2013 California Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Summit that attracted national and international attention will return to Sacramento on October 15-16, 2014.
“Co-locating our CHBC Spring Summit with the 2014 ACT Expo at the Long Beach Convention Center emphasizes our goal to bring our technologies and products closer to the market,” said Jeff Serfass, CHBC Managing Director. “Progress in the last years and even months across a diverse set of markets is astounding, and we seek to bring these new commercial products to an audience interested in clean energy solutions,” Serfass added.
The CHBC Spring Summit will highlight recent hydrogen and fuel cell progress in distributed generation, remote and mobile power markets, the strategic developments in the transportation sector, for fueling, the emerging development of range-extenders for electric trucks, and hydrogen energy storage solutions for the electric grid in combination with hydrogen vehicle fueling.
Attendees of the ACT Expo that attend the CHBC Spring Summit will receive a $30 discount on Summit registration while CHBC members receive a $100 discount on ACT Expo attendance. Registration for the CHBC Spring Summit at the ACT Expo in Long Beach will open on Monday, February 10 at www.actexpo.com. Summit “Super Early Bird” rates are valid through February 28.
On October 15-16, the CHBC will host the 2014 California Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Summit at the California Environmental Protection Agency in Sacramento. Last year, the event saw unprecedented interest from industry and government alike, more than doubling the previous record for attendees. It featured an impressive array of senior government officials and industry executives providing their vision of the role of hydrogen and fuel cells in California, the U.S. and around the world. This October, attendees will be briefed and discuss government and industry plans for expanding markets for zero emission hydrogen and fuel cell solutions.
“In 2014, we’re excited to continue our signature event in Sacramento where we can have significant impact on markets and policies in California and beyond. After all, the 2014/2015 introduction of fuel cell electric vehicles and the expansion of the hydrogen fueling network will already be underway,” said Mark Abramowitz, CHBC President.
