New CHBC Board Appointments Raise Profile of Fuel Cell Manufacturing Sector

ITM Power and Johnson Matthey Fuel Cells join as new board representatives
Los Angeles, CA – August 1, 2013 – Today, the California Hydrogen Business Council (CHBC) announced the appointment of two new members to its 2013 Board of Directors. During the July 25 Board Meeting at American Honda Motors in Torrance, CA, Geoff Budd of ITM Power and Anca Faur of Johnson Matthey Fuel Cells were unanimously elected to the Board as Directors at Large.
“These additions recognize the growing importance manufacturers play in the organization”, said Mark Abramowitz, President of the CHBC. “With Geoff and Anca, the CHBC elevates its renewable hydrogen and fuel cell manufacturing expertise on the Board, which allows the CHBC to position itself for a continued path of growth.”
“We are delighted to have an active role on the CHBC Board of Directors and to actively support the development of the Council’s objectives in expanding the adoption of hydrogen as the 100% renewable energy medium,” said Geoff Budd, of ITM Power. “I am looking forward to participating in the Hydrogen Energy Storage Program as a member of the Council’s Hydrogen Energy Storage Committee and working with the other Board members to develop the CHBC objectives and strategies.”
Anca Faur, Program Development Manager at Johnson Matthey Fuel Cells, added that “Johnson Matthey Fuel Cells has been a longtime member of the CHBC and we are looking forward to continuing being an active contributor to the success of the fuel cell market and hydrogen economy. I am personally looking forward to contributing to the expansion of the organization as a Board Member.”
Johnson Matthey Fuel Cells supplies high quality fuel cell components globally, in particular membrane electrode assemblies (MEAs) and catalyzed components for use in various types of fuel cells.
