CESA Release 3 New Fuel Cell Reports
Clean Energy States Alliance (CESA) has just completed three reports to highlight the merits of accelerating deployment of fuel cells in the U.S., with concrete recommendations for how advance the market for fuel cells. The CESA fuel cell report series provides state policymakers, clean energy program managers, and other interested energy leaders with basic information on:
• Fuel cell technologies, economics, and applications;
• The value of fuel cells as a reliable power source for critical facilities;
• State policies to advance the fuel cell industry and installations;
“While the ‘hydrogen highway’ and widespread adoption of hydrogen vehicles are still many years off, stationary fuel cells are a highly efficient, reliable source of distributed power generation and are commercially available today,” said Charles Kubert, CESA Project Director and author of the series. “The purpose of these guides is to provide policymakers with a quick introduction to the technology, its current applications, and the best-practice examples from state policies and programs. We hope that these guides will encourage policymakers to take a closer look at stationary fuel cells and begin to develop programs to support their growth.”
The three reports are:
• Fuel Cell Technology: A Clean, Reliable Source of Stationary Power
• Stationary Fuel Cells and Critical Power Applications
• Advancing Stationary Fuel Cells through State Policies
