Sara Fitzsimon is the Policy Director for California Hydrogen Business Council. In this role, Sara leads CHBC’s members in developing policies that promote the commercialization of hydrogen across the energy and transportation sectors. She advocates in the regulatory and legislative arenas as well as coalition builds among California-based hydrogen stakeholders and allies. Prior to CHBC, Sara was a legislative analyst in the healthcare sector.
Sara earned her B.A. in Criminology from Wheeling Jesuit University in Wheeling, WV, and her Juris Doctor with a Concentration in Capital Lawyering, California Lobbying & Politics, from the McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, CA. She passed the California Bar Exam and is currently awaiting approval of her license application. Sara lives in Sacramento with her Old English Sheepdog, Edith, and drives her Honda Clarity FCEV to hikes in the Sierras when she isn’t biking around town or attending Sacramento Kings Games.
