Salim Rahemtulla Director at Large

Salim Rahemtulla currently serves as the President of PowerTap Hydrogen Fueling Corp. and has over 30 years of private and public sector experience in real estate development, asset management, banking/lending, operations, and facilities management. A former US naval officer, he has managed and lead cross-functional teams as a development executive and community planner executing $2B in public and private sector residential and industrial construction projects. He has also been a construction lender and a loan portfolio manager at two major financial institutions. As a federal civilian employee for the Navy, he was a mission protection/land-use compatibility program manager at a major naval installation with an airfield and deep-draft port, and an asset and facilities management director at a Southern California weapons storage facility with extensive RDT&E facilities overseeing the planning and development of several mission-critical projects. Over the past decade, Salim has been involved in several real estate and renewable energy start-up companies in addition to PowerTap, including, Foton Technologies, a company which developed a proven clean, green gasification technology and a real estate fund under the auspices of a Southern California-based investment bank. Serving on the Board of Directors of the California Hydrogen Business Council as a Director-at-Large and the Chair of the Vehicle and Infrastructure Initiative Committee, Salim has an undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California (USC) in Economics with an emphasis in Social Sciences and Communication and an MBA from USC’s Marshall School of Business
