Jason Rowell

Jason is an Associate Vice President and Global Technology Portfolio Manager in Black & Veatch Power, responsible for developing projects and implementing industry leading solutions through technology innovation. Jason is responsible for aligning Black & Veatch’s portfolio across the full breadth of our project execution capabilities, from small services projects to our largest engineering, procurement, and construction projects. Technology portfolio areas under Jason’s direct leadership include Gas, Nuclear, Hydrogen, Decarbonization, Carbon Capture and Utilization, Direct Air Capture, Supercritical CO2, Plant Modernization, Waste-to-Energy, Biomass, and Environmental and Sustainability.

In previous roles Jason has managed major projects, and held global responsibility for all cogeneration, combined cycle gas turbine, simple cycle gas turbine, and reciprocating engine projects executed by Black & Veatch Power Generation Services from project conception through commercial operation. Jason has extensive experience in the selection of major plant power island equipment; risk identification and mitigation of first-of-a-kind technology integration; performance guarantees and contract development; and long-term services agreements (LTSA). Jason’s broad experience base includes power plant system and thermal cycle design; major power generation equipment selection, risk management planning, and procurement; pipe stress analysis / support design; large frame gas turbine, generator, and steam turbine equipment design; and nuclear reactor inspection services.
