Los Angeles, CA - February 9, 2015 - Today, the California Hydrogen Business Council (CHBC) announced election of Jeffrey Reed, Director of Business Strategy and Advanced Technology at Southern California Gas Company to the position of President of the CHBC. Further announcements included the appointment of David Armijo, General Manager of AC Transit, Matt Miyasato of the South Coast Air Quality Management District to the Board and election of five Directors.

At its December 17, 2014 Board Meeting in Diamond Bar, CA, three directors were re-elected, including Robert Bienenfeld, Assistant Vice President, Environment & Energy Strategy of American Honda Motor Company as Vice President, Larry Stapleton, VP Sales from Ballard Power Systems and Richard Cromwell, Consultant to Clean Energy Fuels, as Director-at-Large. New additions to the Board include Steve Jones, Managing Director of ITM Power, and Steven Szymanski, Director of Government Business at Proton OnSite.

"For Southern California Gas Company, the hydrogen and fuel cell industry is developing key markets with tremendous opportunity to expand the use of low-carbon gaseous fuels in California, and the CHBC is an important organization to help expand these markets and reduce barriers to emerging technology adoption," said Jeff Reed. "I am honored to receive the trust of the membership of this organization and look forward to leading the CHBC during these exciting times."
