CHBC VIP Technology Tour of the Port of Long Beach - Middle Harbor Project
December 18 | 9:30 AM | Long Beach, CA

The Port of Long Beach is one of the world's busiest seaports, a leading gateway for trade between the U.S. and Asia. It supports over a million jobs nationally and generates billions of dollars in economic activity each year.

Named "The Green Port", it has a green port policy to improve the environment, as demonstrated by its 20-year record of environmental protection programs. The Green Port Policy is an aggressive, comprehensive and coordinated approach to reduce the negative impacts of Port operations. Adopted in January 2005, it serves as a guide for decision making and established a framework for environmentally friendly Port operations.

This tour will focus on the Middle Harbor Project. Attendees will be guided by Christine Houston, Manager of Sustainable Practices, and also by a Trade Division Representative to discuss port projects. See registration details at the bottom of the email.
